2022 Harness Dates Currently Being Proposed

Here is a calendar from Hawthorne proposing the 2022 racing dates. Copy of PROPOSED 4.2 – 2022 SCHEDULE

In addition to these dates, they are proposing two weeks of racing in June at Springfield and three weeks of racing at Springfield at the end of September. We will continue to try to push for more dates either at Hawthorne or at Springfield. The dates will be finalized at the Illinois Racing Board hearing, scheduled for Thursday, September, 23.

 

Mark Fransen, Tim Curtin to be honored at Sandwich Fair

The Sandwich Fair and the NICA are scheduled to race on Wednesday, September 8, with a 11:00 a.m. post. They will be presenting memorial trophy blankets for Mark Fransen and Tim Curtin who both passed away in 2019 and were long-time Illinois horsemen.
